Glasswool Wall & Floor SupaBatts have a special treatment added to increase their ability to repel water which gives added protection to internal walls from possible water damage. Glasswool Wall & Floor SupaBatts will not burn and will provide excellent thermal and acoustic insulation in the home. ApplicationGlasswool Wall & Floor SupaBatts are manufactured to a controlled thickness so that installation in walls can be achieved without the insulation contacting the external walls. Glasswool Wall & Floor SupaBatts should be retained in position with string so that ventilation of the wall cavity is preserved. Glasswool Wall& Floor SupaBatts will both increase comfort and reduce energy bills in the home by keeping heat out during summer and heat in during winter. Glasswool Wall & Floor SupaBatts will also reduce noise entering the home when installed in the external walls, or reduce noise transfer between rooms when installed in the internal walls. Glasswool Wall & FloorSupaBatts are supplied in two convenient widths to suit standard housing construction: 430mm width for450mm stud centres, and 580mm width for 600mm stud centres. Standard Sizes and PackagingGlasswool Wall & Floor SupaBatts are packed in strong, tear resistant & sealed clear polythene plastic bags with labels inserted for easy identification. Factory Applied FacingsThe product is not usually supplied with factory applied facings, however, non standard products can be manufactured subject to minimum order quantities. Fire ResistanceWhen tested in accordance with AS/NZS 1530.3:1999, Glasswool Wall & Floor SupaBatts have the following Early Fire Hazard Indices:
Corrosion ResistanceGlasswool Wall & Floor Batts are faintly alkaline and incapable of corroding steel. To maintain this condition, protection must be provided against contamination from external sources. When tested in accordance with BS 3958: Part 5-1969, Wall & Floor Batts have a pH of 7.5-8.0. Moisture ResistanceExposure to an atmosphere of 50°C and 95% relative humidity for four days, results in moisture absorption of less than 0.2% by volume. Flow Resistivity0.5 x 104mks Rayls/m.
